El mundo astrológico lamenta el fallecimiento de J. Lee Lehman, reconocida astróloga, académica y maestra, cuya obra transformó el estudio y la práctica de la astrología tradicional en la era moderna.
Durante más de cuatro décadas, Lee Lehman dedicó su vida a la recuperación, preservación y transmisión de la tradición astrológica clásica. Con un rigor excepcional y una profunda integridad intelectual, regresó a las fuentes primarias y restauró doctrinas esenciales que habían sido en gran medida olvidadas, haciéndolas accesibles y enseñables para los estudiantes contemporáneos. Sus contribuciones a través de libros, artículos y conferencias se han convertido en referencia fundamental para los estudiantes serios de astrología en todo el mundo.
Más allá de su labor académica, fue ante todo una maestra. Su compromiso con la enseñanza fue inquebrantable, marcado por la claridad, la precisión y un profundo sentido de responsabilidad hacia sus alumnos. Incluso frente al deterioro de su salud, continuó enseñando, culminando su labor en Astrología Médica Tradicional con la misma dedicación que definió toda su trayectoria.
Como su alumna, intérprete y traductora al español, me siento profundamente honrada de haberla conocido de cerca desde 2021, cuando cursé con ella los programas STAMP I y II de Astrología Médica Tradicional. Poco después, accedió generosamente a llevar su conocimiento a la comunidad hispanohablante. Fuimos verdaderamente afortunados de escuchar sus enseñanzas y de experimentar de primera mano su generosidad y profundidad de conocimiento.
Para la comunidad hispanohablante, Lee Lehman fue una presencia única en el campo de la Astrología Médica, abriendo un camino que continuará desarrollándose a través de quienes fuimos formados por ella.
Quienes la conocimos recordaremos no solo su brillantez, sino también su humildad—tan bien reflejada en su conocido “triple Virgo”—y su firme rechazo a ser idealizada. No solo enseñó astrología, sino una forma de pensar: disciplinada, precisa y profundamente arraigada en la tradición.
Su legado perdura en sus escritos, en sus alumnos y en la tradición viva que ayudó a restaurar. Lee Lehman ocupa ya su lugar entre los grandes astrólogos de la historia.
Su luz permanece con nosotros.
The astrological world mourns the passing of J. Lee Lehman—renowned astrologer, scholar, and teacher—whose work transformed the study and practice of traditional astrology in the modern era.
For over four decades, Lee Lehman dedicated her life to the recovery, preservation, and transmission of the classical astrological tradition. With exceptional rigor and intellectual integrity, she returned to primary sources and restored essential doctrines that had been largely forgotten, making them accessible and teachable for contemporary students. Her contributions through books, articles, and lectures have become foundational for serious students of astrology worldwide.
Beyond her scholarship, she was above all a teacher. Her commitment to education was unwavering, marked by clarity, precision, and a deep sense of responsibility toward her students. Even in the face of declining health, she continued teaching, completing her work in Traditional Medical Astrology with the same dedication that defined her entire career.
As her student, interpreter, and translator into Spanish, I feel deeply honored to have known her closely since 2021, when I took the Traditional Medical Astrology STAMP I and II courses with her. Shortly thereafter, she graciously agreed to bring her knowledge to the Spanish-speaking community. We were truly fortunate to listen to her teachings and to experience firsthand her generosity and depth of knowledge.
For the Spanish-speaking community, Lee Lehman was a singular presence in the field of Medical Astrology, opening a path that will continue to grow through those she taught.
Those who knew her will remember not only her brilliance, but also her humility—so fittingly reflected in her well-known “triple Virgo”—and her refusal to be placed on a pedestal. She taught not only astrology, but a way of thinking: disciplined, precise, and deeply rooted in tradition.
Her legacy endures in her writings, in her students, and in the living tradition she helped restore. Lee Lehman now takes her place among the great astrologers of history.
Her light remains with us.

Every night, during thousands of years, ancient civilizations around the world watched the heavenly bodies. Most of them were fixed in the sky, but a few of them would move and change their position during the day, the months, the years and centuries. In many cases, this apparent movement could be correlated to events happening on Earth. These observations were registered in clay tablets initially, later in papyrus and stone monuments, in illuminated medieval books, printed books and nowadays in computers and apps in your mobile phone. Since then, these observations and their interpretations formed a body of knowledge called Astrology.

Enuma Anu Enlil is an ancient Mesopotamian literary composition, also known as the "Enuma Anu Enlil tablets." It is a collection of around 70 clay tablets dating back to the second millennium BCE, primarily from the Old Babylonian period. The tablets contain a series of astrological, astronomical, and omens texts, providing insights into the beliefs and practices of the Mesopotamian civilization.
The Enuma Anu Enlil tablets comprise a compendium of celestial omens, detailing the interpretations and predictions of celestial phenomena, such as lunar and solar eclipses, planetary positions, and meteorological events. These observations were believed to hold significant influence over human affairs and the fate of kingdoms. The texts were consulted by diviners and astrologers to gain insight into future events and to guide decision-making.
Traditional Medical Astrology
Traditional medical astrology is a branch of astrology that focuses on the correlation between celestial bodies and health conditions. It considers the influence of planetary positions, zodiac signs, and their aspects on the human body. By examining an individual's birth chart, traditional medical astrologers seek to identify potential health vulnerabilities and imbalances. This ancient practice aims to provide insights into preventive measures, lifestyle recommendations, and therapeutic approaches to promote well-being and restore balance.
